The Coshocton Children’s Choir was organized in 1987-1988 as a
project of the Coshocton Community Choir.
Singing groups such as Ruth Edwards’
Small World Singers
and Marj Lilja’s Canal Lassies helped prepare the way for
this regional ensemble for young singers.
Since the choir’s debut at the 1988 spring concerts, they have also
participated in other Community Choir concerts and helped host the
local visit of The American Boychoir in the spring of 1989.
An ensemble from the Children’s Choir sang with the
Boychoir at Coshocton concerts in May, 1997 and May, 1999.

in the original ensemble to approximately 70 youngsters in recent
choirs. Singers are in
grades four through eight, and come from Coshocton, Newcomerstown,
