'Still Be My Vision' — Spring Concert Preview

The Coshocton Community Choir, including singers traveling from 11 Ohio counties, will share a preview of its spring concert, ‘Still Be My Vision,’ at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 88 N 5th St., Newark, OH 43055. The concert will feature a selection of sacred and secular choral music, including arrangements and settings of familiar Easter hymns, classical works, spirituals and more. Admission is free. This is the Choir’s first appearance in Newark.

Now in its 55th season, the Coshocton Community Choir was organized in 1971 by Charles R. Snyder, an accomplished Ohio teacher, choral conductor, and church musician. Since its founding, more than 900 singers have sung with the Choir, which has become known for its renditions of sacred a cappella literature. The Choir’s singers, who come from all backgrounds, vocations and walks of life, rehearse together weekly through the fall and winter and traditionally perform narrated Christmas and spring concerts.

'Still Be My Vision' — Spring Concert

The Coshocton Community Choir, including singers traveling from nine Ohio counties, will share its spring concert, ‘Still Be My Vision,’ at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Coshocton High School. The concert, including the Coshocton Youth Chorale, The Coshocton Singers, The Roscoe Brass, and other instrumentalists, will feature a selection of sacred and secular choral music, including arrangements and settings of familiar hymns, classical works, spirituals, and more.

There is no cost to attend the concert this year, although a free-will offering will be accepted to help meet the expenses involved in preparing for concerts and carrying out the organization’s mission.

The Coshocton Community Choir is returning to Coshocton High School’s McKinley Auditorium at 1205 Cambridge Road in Coshocton for this year’s spring concert, after singing its Christmas Concert at River View High School in December. 2025 Encore Christmas Concert (Rescheduled) — "The Work of Christmas"

The Coshocton Community Choir will share selections from its annual Christmas Concert — "The Work of Christmas" — on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown, Ohio. Admission is free. This is the rescheduled date; the concert originally scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 14, was postponed due to poor weather conditions.
